Places to Eat in Juneau, Alaska โ†  The Hot Bite.

We loooove having The Hot Bite open for the summer...maybe a little too much. They're onion rings and milkshakes are my absolute favorites in town. In fact, their onion rings might be the best I've ever had.

The Hot Bite is the perfect treat on the rare hot sunny days here in Juneau, especially since they have outdoor seating so you can soak up the vitamin D while you eat. And if I've gained 5 pounds this summer, I blame their delicious food. Worth it.

If you're in town it's the perfect summer treat! I'll be sad to see them close again in the fall.

Juneau, Alaska...family vacation style part 4, Nugget Falls.

My favorite place to send people/bring people who are visiting Juneau is Nugget Falls and Mendenhall Glacier. The scenery on the way to the waterfall is gorgeous and once you get there Nugget Falls and the glacier will take your breath away.

The buses had just shown up with a ton of people from the cruise ships when we took my Dad and brother during their trip to Juneau. It was packed! We brought Atka and couldn't get more than two feet without people wanting to pet and take pictures of the local dog (since she's an Alaskan Malamute). Atka was LOVING it.

Stunning, right? Logan had fun climbing the side of the waterfall, the views pretty great from up high. We plan on taking Atka again soon to get her fill of celebrity attention. ;)
