Kansas City Sunset Maternity Session | CotΓ© Family

Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing. There is something so magical about this in-between period of life, waiting on baby and watching your body do unbelievable things. I'm in awe of the human body and what it's capable of during this time. Personally, I've never felt more at peace or comfortable in my own skin than I have since I've been pregnant.

My pregnancy "twin", Casey, (baby girl due a week after ours and just moved across the country) is radiant and I'm so excited to share her maternity photos! Maternity photos have my heart and this session has taken the place as my current favorite. πŸ’š That light, that bump, and that gorgeous flowing dress...as a photographer, I couldn't ask for more.

Here's what Casey said about their session...

"Mallorie photographed our maternity session a few weeks ago and totally blew my mind with every single frame! From the incredible lighting she captured to the way she powered through a very hot (over 100 degrees) and windy outdoor afternoon session was nothing short of true talent and professionalism. Not to mention, she's such a sweetheart and makes you feel so comfortable during your time in front of the lens. I cannot get over the images we have as keepsakes during this special time of life (I cried through the whole slideshow--so in love!) and would highly recommend hiring Mallorie to shoot maternity photos and beyond! Mallorie will take good care of you, promise!" β‰«β‰« Casey CotΓ©

It was so hard for me to narrow these photos down for this post, I could go on and on. And don't even ask me to pick a favorite, I love them all! Make sure to leave the CotΓ©'s some love in the comments. I can't wait for baby Heidi to be here and hopefully get to photograph her the next time they're in Kansas City!

If you're in the Kansas City area, this is my last month of availability before taking maternity leave for baby girl to arrive and for us to get settled in. If you're in the area and hoping to get a session, please contact me here asap so I can get you on the schedule...I would love to have you! If you're not in KC and want a future session, I'm taking weddings and sessions out of town starting back up on January 1st. Please email me soon so we can set something up!

And as always, please feel free to share it if you love it! It makes my day when I see a Facebook share or pinterest post with one of my photos.

Austin Fine Art Photographer | Pieratt Family

I first photographed the Pieratt Family in Austin last summer and we've done three sessions together since then. These photos are from our very first session together and this post is obviously long over due (as are most of my posts going up soon), but I wanted to start with this session because I love seeing the progression of how much the kids change from session to session. They now have another precious daughter that I got to photograph along with the rest of the family at their home in May!

This session is dear to my heart because the Pieratt's brought along a picture of their sweet angel baby, Moss, who they lost to SUDC. I had never heard of SUDC until we met, but their passion to raise awareness and funds for SUDC research is inspiring. They've started the Moss Pieratt Foundation in their son's honor and have already held their first annual MossFest that was so much fun to photograph.

The Pieratt's released blue balloons to heaven for Moss and then we had our session with their beautiful family. I can't believe how much their little girl, Madeline, has grown since these photos! Such a little cutie with the prettiest blue eyes...

Their slideshow is one of my favorites, so I had to add it to the post...some of the pictures are up above, but there are a few more here...

Make sure to leave some love for the Pieratt Family in the comments! To book your fine art family photography session, in Kansas City, Austin, or elsewhere (we love to travel)...go here.
