Labor Day weekend we had Iris' first birthday party...Iris in ONEderland! Dave and I had so much fun gathering decorations and planning a Mad Hatter Tea Party for our baby girl. Simony Pony Boutique even custom made her a wonderland style party gown...everyone was fawning over Iris when she came out in her dress and she was soaking up all the special attention. :)
She loved the birthday song and by the end of the weekend was singing "oooo youuu" along with everyone else. It was so sweet! She still sings along with her birthday bear she got as a present. She also got a baby doll as a present and the first thing she did was give it a hug and then feed it a bottle. So cute and funny since she's never really had a bottle herself. Two in her life and that was at least six months ago!
It was 3:00 in the afternoon, so we did appetizers and treats...you know, tea party snacks! There were cake balls, Ferrero Rocher chocolates, artichoke dip, hummus, chocolate covered strawberries, and of course tea. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day celebrating one year of our sweet girl.
